A: The quickest way is to email me. The address is [games from the lightside, no spaces or dashes] [at] gmail [dot] com. You can contact me for anything that isn't straight-up spam. Note that if you're advertising something to me or asking for keys, I'm gonna assume you're a spammer unless you write stuff that clearly shows you know who you're sending this to and that you are who you say you are. If it's not urgent, you can contact me through Bluesky or commenting on the relevant game's itch.io pages too.
A: I usually use Twine for heavily text-based games and Godot for more graphical games. I've also used these engines before: Ren'Py (I haven't published any Ren'Py games yet though), Tabletop Simulator, Scratch and its mods, and Game Builder Garage. I like to experiment with new game engines from time to time, so that list is almost sure to expand!
A: I usually use Krita for art, Google Docs for writing, and Beepbox for music and sound effects.
A: Yeah, of course! That's how we improve. Please just phrase it in a kind and constructive way. I can spiral easily if you're too harsh.
A: Kinda. I'm a creative writing college student, so definitely the writing part of it all. I have taken some basics classes for visualization (the art part) and animation. I'm also going to be taking classes for visual effects and, probably most important, game design! Digital media is my minor, so they're not comprehensive classes, just the basics. Most of my art is self-taught and I have no idea what I'm doing audio-wise.
A: Maybe! I'd love to do this as a job someday, but I don't think I'll be hired as a professional game writer any time soon. I also love the concept of joining a team for a jam, but I'd have to know the people I'm jamming with, and right know I don't really have many game design friends.
Nah. I assume you'd know the rules, and so do I.
